1. ENTRY FEE: FREE

2. ELIGIBILITY: Open to all bowlers who are NOT one of the following:

   • Under the age of 18 on the date they bowl

   • Any bowler under the age of 60 who has won any USBC Open Championships Regular Division Event: Team, Doubles, Singles and/or All Events.

   • Any bowler under the age of 60 who has won any of the following, regardless of professional status at the time of the win:

     • A PBA or PWBA national title

     • A USBC Masters or U.S. Open title

   • Any past or present member of Team USA, Junior Team USA or any other national bowling team, under the age of 60

   • Any bowler currently holding a collegiate bowling membership or one who has been a member of any college bowling program/team/club during the calendar year (Jan. 1 – Dec. 31, 2023) and/or up through the date of competition in 2024

3. SCORES:

   • ​​2024 USBC Open Championships Singles Scores will be utilized for this tournament

   • If Bowlers with the same name enter the tournament, additional verification will be conducted to ensure the correct scores are assigned

4. HANDICAP:

   • ​​Handicap will be calculated at 90% of 190.  (Ex: Average= 150, 190-150=40, 90% of 40=36 Pins/Game)

5. AVERAGES:

   • Average will be assigned based on current "Championship Average" on bowl.com for the last Open Championship 27 games

   • If "Championship Average" is less than 27 games the SPORT ADJUSTED OPEN CHAMP AVG as displayed on bowl.com will be used

   • Current League Average 10-pin Rule WILL NOT be in effect

   • If bowler appears on the official USBC Re-Rate List with a re-rate in 2021/2022/2023/2024:

     • If the re-rated average (sport adjusted) is 1 or more pins higher than OPEN CHAMP AVG the re-rated average will be used​

   • In the event a bowler DOES NOT have an OPEN CHAMP AVG, publicly available on bowl.com, the bowler will be assigned an average of 190 and not entitled to handicap​

6. PRIZES:

   • 1st Place $1,000​​

   • 2nd Place $500

   • 3rd Place $250

   • Last Place $100

   • Merchandise Prizes will be awarded randomly to all participants regardless of score.

   • Bowler must complete all 3 games to be eligible for any prizes

   • IN THE EVENT OF A TIE: Cash Prizes will be distributed evenly to all bowlers with the same score

   • Any bowler winning a cash prize greater than >$599.99 will be required to provide their Social Security Number before check is issued.  Failure to provide SSN within 10 (ten) business days of request, will result in disqualification from the tournament and all prizes will be forfeited.

   • Prize fund is based on a minimum of 500 entries. If less than 500 entires are received by the end of the Open Championships, new prize fund will be posted. If 500 entries are received before the conclusion of the 2024 USBC Open Championships the original posted prize fun will apply.

   • BONUS PRIZES:

     • WOB Club Ambassadors will be visiting the 2024 Open Championship at South Point Bowling Plaza randomly throughout the tournament run​

     • Ambassadors will be wearing World's Okayest Bowlers Club Bowling Jerseys or T-shirts

     • If we see, or you show us, any World's Okayest Bowlers Club branded items: patches, shirts, jerseys, water bottles, etc you may be awarded an "on the spot" prize ranging in value from $5-$100

     • WOB Club gear can be purchased here: WOB CLUB STORE

     • The first 250 tournament entries will receive an embroidered World's Okayest Bowler's Club Member Patch mailed to their home (US Addresses Only)

7. PRIZE DISTRIBUTION:

   1. All Prizes will be finalized and distributed within thirty (30) days of the USBC publicly posting the VERIFIED FINAL Results of the 2024 USBC OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS​

8. PROTESTS:​

   • Any protest or appeal concerning scoring must be made in writing, briefly stating the grounds of the protest or appeal and emailed to jason@wobclub.com within seven (7) days of scores being bowled.  All decisions regarding protests are the decision of  WOBClub LLC and are FINAL.

9. WOBClub LLC has the authority to make decisions regarding anything not covered by these rules.
